About this Blog

Welcome to Run Your Happy!

I am a runner who started in this crazy activity a decade ago. Long enough to cram in 7 marathons and over 20 half-marathons. Yet, I had much more humble beginnings, starting with a 2 km race and progressing to 5km, 10 km, half-marathon and marathon.

The training is tough. The finish is exhilarating! I haven’t looked back! I now train mainly for marathons.

I have a philosophical outlook by nature and it didn’t take long before I realized that running imitates life in so many ways, from learning perseverance and overcoming obstacles to experiencing the joys of seriously amazing accomplishments.

All these life-insights that running gives need to be shared. This is why Run Your Happy came into being.

If you run you may already have felt some of the happiness that you have created for yourself on your journeys. If you are thinking of running, you may find in these blogs there are more reasons to take it up than you imagine. And, if you are starting out on your running journey, you may find reasons to keep plugging away, step-by-step.

I hope you find some meaning in my blogging. And you might have a few laughs along the way. Runners may be addicts and a bit nuts, but we also know how to have fun.  And what’s more fun than laughing at ourselves? Maybe crossing the finish line is more fun, but you won’t see many laughs at the finish line of a marathon! Unless you really are nuts.

Although running is a pain sometimes (in so many ways), it is also uplifting and confidence-building. It can bring joy and fulfilment. You may already know this, or you are about to join the club and find out. In any case, one thing is true:

You can Run Your Happy!
